Use recent photos. A reader who meets someone who looks different from the ad feels misled, and meetings get cancelled. Pick one clear main photo and a small set of others that show different angles or settings. Light editing is fine. Heavy filters are not.

A phone camera is enough. Stand near a window in daylight, keep the background plain and tidy, and clean the lens before you start. Take a few vertical and a few horizontal shots, then keep the five to eight best.
