Read the ad and the contact preferences first
Most ads say how and when the person wants to be contacted. If it says WhatsApp only, do not call. If it lists working hours, write during those hours. Reading the ad before you write also shows you whether what you want is offered at all.
Send one short, specific message
A good first message contains:
- A greeting and the name you would like to be called.
- The day and time you have in mind, and how long.
- Where you would like to meet, if the ad offers a choice.
- What you would like, taken from what the ad offers.
- The language you prefer.
Agree the details before you meet
Ask what the amount covers and how long the meeting lasts, and confirm the address and time. Settle every point in writing before you travel, so nobody is surprised on the day.
Example: “Hello, I am Marc. Are you free on Friday at 7 pm for one hour at your place? I would like dinner company and a relaxed evening. English is fine. Please tell me the amount and the address. Thank you.”
Accept a no, or no answer
If the answer is no, accept it and do not ask again. If there is no answer, one polite reminder after a day is enough.
